ARE
YOU UP TO THE CHALLENGE? / I'm not a scientist or some
renowned religious leader. My past is filled with moral, intellectual, and spiritual conflicts; extremes of mental and spiritual
conundrums, with adrenal rushes in between, fill my past. What guidance I received from my various childhood guardians (which
also came in linear extremes) was received with no context or order; it was all jumbled into my directionless, unfounded,
built-on-sand, heart that -at best- was unable to decipher such munificent things and therefore only had a one-way valve:
in, but not out. To this day I am still working my way through a labyrinth of spiritual and ethical questions, but I believe
I have arrived at a few general conclusions that are founded in some pretty good (un)common sense with a splattering of experience(s).As a former "resident" of multiple county jails in seven states, a two-time
ex-convict (state and federal prison), then eventually gaining the privilege of serving this great country in uniform
(Navy Seabees, then the U.S. Marines, and more recently with the Army National Guard), I've seen so much of
the worst and the best in people. I studied Political Science in college, am a certified paralegal (earned while in
Iraq), and have been with my one and only true love now for nearly 30 years. There has to be something I have inside
me that you can use; if you are looking for some direction, it can't hurt to ask.
If it’s true
“there is no better teacher than the school of hard knocks,” than I have to be near a professorship. I suppose
one of the reasons I write is for that very reason; to decipher information – to try to put some order and context to
what I MIGHT be thinking – to try to make sense of an otherwise unsagacious modern world.
I challenge you
to find a glitch in my thinking process. That’s not to say I am always right, but rather, to look to you as a part of
my intellectual conscience; am I missing something? Bring your anger, your approval – your experience and common sense
– to me and let’s compare what life really means and how it should be experienced.
Should we perceive
life as all black-and-white – right-and-wrong – or is there room for some gray area? How much room? If so, is
the gray area (wiggle room) where the complications lay? What should we collectively do about governing that gray area?
For me, the gray area grows smaller and smaller as I mature. I believe all things – all actions -- are discernable
through a moral prism. In fact, I believe all things MUST be deliberately filtered through a moral prism. Everyone is a teacher
and a student; either way, we are being watched by somebody, if not only ourselves.
No, I haven’t (yet) gone
off the deep end; I’m not looking for a universe in my thumbnail. I do my best to be in-the-moment and rational with
what I deliberate on. Today’s America is in another significant transitional period, and this is where my focus is:
(modern and classical) liberalism; (modern and classical) conservatism; Left and Right issues; does moralism belong in government?
Or in other words, can we govern morality? Can a People govern without morality, and is it the same question to ask if a government
can be effective and amoral? As one lost pundit recently asked, “What’s wrong with a little socialism?”
Is there a good answer to such a question? I believe there is, and the explanation is simple- it is the very nature
of governments to plunder – it has no choice but to plunder and will do so blindly if not controlled. So, commonsensically,
it must be the job of the People (in our case) to limit the power of government and to give it certain moral precepts to follow.
Question is, how?
I believe our Founders found the best possible way to control the plundering by reaffirming our
republic, redefining our federation by declaring the very new concept of federalism, operated via some limited democratic
tools, and separating the various limited authorities into three specified branches. What do you think? Click on the links below and come on
in with me. Read; make notes, then send me your thoughts. If you sound sincere I will respond, either on the blog
or to you personally - your choice. Right now my focus is on the significant shift our federal system is undergoing.
However, you can suggest any topic you desire; perhaps we can both learn something.

waiting for ?? .... Let's talk---> / / RICHARD A. BELLON You'll also
find a link below that discusses my involvement back in the 1990's with the self-promoted, self-described, constitutional
expert, Richard "Rich" A. Bellon. I am living proof of ethical and intellectual evolution, and I certainly
believe in change. But, I have reason to believe Mr. Bellon is still the same man he was in the 1990's;
rather than any showing of remorse or compensation to his then-victims, Rich has recently created an internet "splash"
promoting himself as some sort of political savior equal to what he was doing when I knew him years ago. It
is my opinion he is still potentially dangerous to not only those who he promotes himself to, but also a danger to the movement
of liberty and freedom at-large. Thus, I maintain my stories of who I believe him to be, then and now. I am posting the story of my involvement with him for the sole purpose of giving the public-at-large
a chance to read/research who and what I believe him to be in an effort to warn any potential victims that he is not
as capable as he claims to be. He is not a lawyer, not a paralegal, and as far as I know, still has nothing more than a high
school education. I am currently being sued by him for my posted comments (some are more
than 10 years old), and I am standing strong on the truth. If Mr. Bellon has somehow recently come into your life and
is asking for money, first take a look at the Rich Bellon link below. Then, consider yourself forewarned. / RICH
